The Centre and The Answer are pleased to announce their collaboration in this proven Weight Loss Challenge. (The Answer is a group of personal wellness coaches who are dedicated to your good health.) Let our combined staff, resources, and supportive environment change your life!

This exciting 12-week program advises proper nutrition, food choices, and encourages exercise. Each person will receive personalized weekly, one-on-one coaching. Eighty-five percent of all entry fees will be paid out in prizes to the top three participants who have lost the biggest percentage of weight.

Each week participants will weigh in and consult with the coaches who will help them along the way, offering various options to help reach their ideal weight and body composition. The program encourages participants to eat a healthy level of protein and calories each day and teaches the benefits of good nutrition and exercise. A previous challenge paid out more than $1,100 in winnings!

The Centre continues to make
renovations to serve the community!

After opening the Centre Café on June 2, 2008 and making some significant additions to the swimming pool (two waterslides and two AquaClimb walls), the Centre is excited to announce the Lenawee Christian Ministries board approval of phase two renovations.

Within this phase the Centre will be removing the 10 lane bowling center and using this space to create a multi-purpose area to provide a broad range of fitness and wellness exercise classes and a mini-gym for kids 12 years of age and under to play basketball, indoor soccer, floor hockey, and other activities. These additions will allow the Centre to more than double the number of fitness and wellness classes available to the community and create a space that effectively provides youth programming. The remainder of the bowling center space will expand the babysitting services and allow the Centre to partner with a variety of wellness specialists that are yet to be finalized.

Phase two will also use the existing Founders Hall room rental space and the TV Lounge to create a 3615 square foot Fitness Center. This combined room is more than double the size of the existing fitness center and with its increased visibility will make people more aware of the services available as they come to the Centre. The Fitness Center will be equipped with the latest cardio and strength training equipment. This great addition for the community will also provide excellent training equipment for the Centre’s certified personal training staff.

This phase will also reinvent the banquet and room rental space within the Grand Lobby, adjacent to the auditorium. The Grand Lobby will be divided into a smaller room (800 square feet) used for meetings and rental groups, with the option of dividing the remainder of the room using a sound proof collapsible wall.

Construction will begin this fall and will be funded by Lenawee Christian Ministries. The Centre is excited to have the opportunity to continue to reinvent the Centre and find effective ways to serve the community.

Slide down and check out our exciting new additions to the pool!
Climb the steps up 12’ and then slide down 63’ splashing into the pool! Kids (and adults!) will love this fun, safe, and smooth water experience. Or scramble up one of two 12’ in-pool rock climbing walls and just drop into the water! Too daring? Young children and those sensitive to heights can use the 4’ slide.

These exciting additions can be used during Open Swim time (refer to the pool schedule in the current monthly newsletter).
